413 – Abu Muhammad al-Qasim ibn Hashim al-Simsar narrated to me; he said: al-Musayyab ibn Wadih narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn al-Walid narrated to us; ⦗184⦘ he said: They asked al-Hasan, “Describe the life of this world for us.” He replied, “Yesterday is a term that has elapsed; today is the time for deeds; and tomorrow is the horizon of hope.”
