408 – ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿAtakī related to me, saying: al-Muṭṭalib ibn Ziyād narrated to us from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Zubayd al-Iyāmī, who said:
“There is not a single day that dawns without calling out: ‘I am a new day and a witness against you. Child of Adam, I shall never return to you, so fear Allah and fill me with good deeds.’ And when evening falls it says, ‘O Allah, do not send me back to the worldly realm ever again.’”
