39 – ʿAlī ibn Muslim narrated to me; he said: Siyyar ibn Ḥātim narrated to us; he said: Jaʿfar ibn Sulaymān narrated to us; he said: I heard Mālik ibn Dīnār say, ⦗37⦘ “Beware of the enchantress, beware of the enchantress; for she bewitches the hearts of the scholars—meaning the life of this world.”
