332 – Abu al-Hasan said: al-Harith ibn Abi Usamah narrated to us; he said: Abu ʿAbd al-Rahman al-Muqriʾ narrated to us; he said: al-Rabiʿ ibn Sabiḥ narrated to us, from Yazid al-Raqashi, from Anas ibn Malik, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Whoever directs his intention toward the Hereafter, Allah will lodge true wealth in his heart, draw his affairs together, and the world will come to him humbled. But whoever’s intention is to seek this world, Allah will station poverty before his very eyes, scatter his affairs, and nothing of it will reach him except what has already been written for him.”
