317 – Al-Faḍl ibn Sahl narrated to us; he said: Abū al-Naḍr Hāshim ibn al-Qāsim narrated to us; he said: Muḥammad ibn Ṭalḥah, from Abū Gharrārah, who said:
Some barādhīn (high-bred horses) belonging to ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Zubayr passed by ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar at Minā, their dung still showing undigested barley. He remarked, “If the maʿād (the final Return) were only one, they would never have outdone us in this world,” as though he were comforting himself.
