298 – Muhammad ibn ʿAli narrated to me; he said: Ibrahim ibn al-Ashʿath related to us; he said: I heard al-Fudayl say, “I have never seen anyone who magnified this worldly life and still found his eyes soothed by it or derived true benefit from it; whereas I have never seen anyone who belittled it without being able to enjoy it.”
