286 – ʿAbd al-Raḥīm b. Yaḥyā narrated to me; he said: ʿUthmān b. ʿUmārah narrated to us; he said: A certain scholar remarked, “Detachment from the world does not leave a man in a state of ease where his soul can settle and relax.”
