260 – Muḥammad ibn ʿUthmān al-ʿIjlī narrated to us; he said: al-Ḥusayn al-Juʿfī related to us; he said: Zāʾida transmitted from a shaykh of Basra, from Umayya ibn Qusaym, from Hudhayfa (may Allah be pleased with him), who reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Allah Most High protects His believing servant from the temptations of this world just as a compassionate shepherd keeps his sheep away from pastures that would destroy them.”
