We entered with al-Hasan to visit a sick man. When al-Hasan had seated himself beside him, he asked, “How do you feel?”
The man replied, “I crave food but cannot swallow it, and I long for drink but am unable to sip it.”
Al-Hasan burst into tears and said, “This abode was established upon illnesses and diseases. Grant that you recover from every malady and are cured of every sickness—can you then escape death?”
At that, the whole house trembled with weeping.
