194 – Hamzah ibn al-ʿAbbās narrated to me; he said: ʿAbdān ibn ʿUthmān informed us; he said: ʿAbd Allāh informed us; he said: al-Mubārak ibn Faḍālah informed us, from al-Ḥasan: whenever he recited the verse, “So do not let the life of this world deceive you, nor let the Deceiver deceive you about Allah” (31:33), he would ask, “Who spoke these words?” Then he would answer, “He who created it—and He knows it best.”
