163 – Abu ʿAbd al-Rahman al-Qurashi, ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUmar ibn Muhammad, related to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Yaʿla related to us; he said: Musa ibn ʿUbaydah al-Rabadhi related to us, that Luqman said to his son: “My son, from the very day you entered this world you have been turning your back on it and facing the Hereafter. You are therefore nearer to the abode toward which you are drawing close than to the abode from which you are distancing yourself.”
