162 – ʿAbd Allah related to us, saying: Muhammad ibn al-Husayn related to me; he said: al-Minhāl ibn Yaḥyā related to me; he said: Iyās ibn Ḥamzah—a man from Bahrain—related to me, saying: A woman of Quraysh who lived in Bahrain said: “Were the eyes of the ascetics to behold the reward that Allah has prepared for those who renounce this world, their very souls would melt with longing and yearning for death, so that they might gain thereby what they hope for of ⦗80⦘ His gracious bounty, Blessed and Exalted is He.”
