138 – Hamzah ibn al-ʿAbbas narrated to me. He said: ʿAbdan ibn ʿUthman related to us. He said: ʿAbd Allah related to us. He said: Abu Bakr ibn Abi Maryam al-Ghassani, on the authority of al-Muhajir ibn Habib, from Abu al-Dardaʾ (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: “If you were to make me swear concerning any man among you that he is the most ascetic of you, I would certainly swear to you that he is the best of you.”
