127 – Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿīd told me; Ziyād ibn Ayyūb narrated to us; he said: Saʿīd ibn ʿĀmir narrated, from Jaʿfar ibn Sulaymān, who said:

A man came in to see Abū Dharr and at once began glancing around the room. He asked, “Abū Dharr, where are your furnishings?”

Abū Dharr replied, “We have another house to which we send all our good possessions.”

The man said, “But you surely need some belongings as long as you are staying here.”

Abū Dharr answered, “The Owner of this dwelling will not leave us in it …”
