114 – ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn narrated to me; he said: Ibn Abī al-Ḥawārī narrated to us; he said: I heard Abū Sulaymān say:
Jesus — peace be upon him — once sat in the shade of an old woman’s tent. The woman said to him, “O servant of Allah, move away from our shade.” So he stood up and sat in the sunlight, saying, “It was not you who made me rise; rather, the One who did not wish me to take anything of this world is the One who made me stand.”
