1 – Saʿīd ibn Sulaymān al-Wāsiṭī narrated to us, from Zakariyyā ibn Manẓūr ibn Thaʿlabah ibn Abī Mālik, who said: Abū Ḥāzim narrated to us, from Sahl ibn Saʿd (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed through Dhū al-Ḥulayfah and saw a ewe standing with one leg raised. He asked, “Do you think this sheep matters to its owner?” They answered, “No.” He said, “By Him in whose Hand is my soul, this world is more trivial in Allah’s sight than that sheep is to its owner. Had the world been worth, in Allah’s estimation, even the wing of a mosquito, He would not have given a disbeliever so much as a single sip from it.”
