88 – Al-Ḥasan ibn Ḥammād al-Ḍabbī narrated to us; he said: al-Muḥāribī related to us; he said: Ibn Salamah al-Bakrī, from a man of the tribe of Murād, narrated: “We entered upon Uways al-Qaranī, and he said, ‘Brother of Murād, when a believer stands up for the right of Allah, no path is left open to him. By Allah, we do enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, yet you turn us into enemies, and the licentious find helpers to back them in this until they have hurled the gravest accusations at me. By Allah, that will never prevent me from standing up for Allah with the truth.’”
