8 – Al-Ḥasan ibn al-Ṣabbāḥ narrated to me; he said: Abū Naṣr al-Tammār narrated to us; he said: Kawthar ibn Ḥakīm narrated to me, from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them), who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “You must enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, or Allah will empower the worst of you over you, and they will make you taste a woeful punishment. Then the righteous among you will supplicate, but their plea will not be answered. Indeed, you must enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, or Allah will send against you those who will show no mercy to your young and no respect to your old.”
