74 – Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn narrated to me, saying: al-Humaydī related to us, from Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah, who said: Sufyān ibn Saʿīd told us, from Misʿar, who said:

“It has reached me that an angel was commanded to make a certain village sink into the earth. He said, ‘My Lord, in it is So-and-so, the devout worshipper.’ Allah revealed to him, ‘Begin with him, for never—at any moment—has his face shown indignation for My sake.’”
