70 – Muhammad ibn ‘Ali ibn Shaqiq narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn al-Ash‘ath. He said: I heard al-Fudayl ibn ‘Iyad say:

“It is reported from Allah’s Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: ‘When my community comes to glorify the worldly life, the awe of Islam will be taken away from them; and when they abandon enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, they will be deprived of the blessing of revelation.’”
