58 – Hamzah ibn al-‘Abbas narrated to me; he said: ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Uthman narrated to us; he said: ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us; he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, who said, “Whenever they observed a man who was not performing the prayer correctly, they would teach him.” Sufyan added, “I fear they had no alternative but to do that.”
