26 – Azhar ibn Marwān al-Raqāshī reported to us; he said: Jaʿfar ibn Sulaymān narrated to us; he said: Ashras Abū Shaybān narrated to us, from ʿAṭāʾ al-Khurāsānī, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said: “A time will come upon people when the believer’s heart will melt the way salt melts in water.” It was asked, “And what will cause that?” He replied, “Because of the evil he sees yet is unable to change.”
