103 – Azhar ibn Marwān al-Raqāshī narrated to us; he said: Jaʿfar ibn Sulaymān narrated to us; he said: Ashras Abū Shaybān narrated to us, from ʿAṭāʾ al-Khurāsānī—so I believe—from Ibn ʿAbbās, who reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“A time will come upon people when the believer’s heart will melt away just as salt melts in water.”
They asked, “What will cause that?” He replied, “What he witnesses of evil yet finds himself unable to change.”
