46 – Hashim ibn al-Qasim related to us; Ahmad ibn Yunus al-Bazzar al-Himsi narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah ibn Wahb narrated, from al-Layth, who said:
“It has reached me that Iblis met Noah and said, ‘O Noah, guard yourself against envy and miserliness. It was envy that drove me out of the Garden, and Adam was miserly over a single tree that had been forbidden to him until he too was expelled from the Garden.’”
