“In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Lord, make it easy and do not make it difficult; Lord, bring it to a good completion. The discussion concerning the interpretation of His words: ‘And We caused the people who had been oppressed to inherit the eastern and western reaches of the land that We had blessed. Thus your Lord’s gracious promise to the Children of Israel was fulfilled because of their patience; and We destroyed what Pharaoh and his people had been producing and what they had been erecting.’”

Its ending reads:

“This is the end of the commentary on Surah Banī Isrāʾīl. It is followed by the commentary on Surah al-Kahf. Praise belongs to Allah alone. May Allah bless our master Muhammad, his family, and his Companions, and grant them abundant peace. Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. The third volume was completed, by Allah’s praise and assistance, at the hand of its copyist, ʿĀmir al-Shabābībī al-Mālikī al-Azharī, on the first of Shaʿbān in the year 1140 AH. It is followed in the next volume—the fourth—by the interpretation of Surah al-Kahf.”
