…to the deniers: “This is a Day when they will not speak, nor will they be allowed to offer excuses. Woe on that Day to the deniers. This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you together as well as the former generations. If you have any scheme, then scheme against Me. Woe on that Day to the deniers.”
And His words, Exalted is He:
“Surely in that is a sign for whoever fears the punishment of the Hereafter. That is a Day for which all people will be assembled; that is a Day that will be witnessed. We only postpone it for a fixed term. On the Day it comes, no soul shall speak except by His leave; some of them will be wretched, and some blessed.”
And His words:
“Woe to those who give short measure, who, when they take measure from others, demand it in full, but when they measure or weigh for them, give less. Do they not realize that they will be resurrected for a tremendous Day, a Day when all people will stand before the Lord of the worlds?”
In the sound collections it is related that the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said: “On the Day when people stand before the Lord of the worlds, one of them will be standing in sweat that reaches halfway up his ears.”
And His words:
“The Calamity! What is the Calamity? And what will make you know what the Calamity is? It is the Day when people will be like scattered moths, and the mountains like tufted wool.”
And His words:
“When the Trumpet is blown with a single blast, and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single crushing—on that Day the Inevitable Event will occur. The heaven will be split, for on that Day it will be fragile. The angels will stand upon its edges, and on that Day eight will bear the Throne of your Lord above them. On that Day you will be presented, and nothing of what you did will remain concealed.”
And His words:
“After we have died and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised again—along with our forefathers of old?” Say: “Yes indeed, and you will be humbled.” It will be but a single blast, and behold, they will be looking on. They will say, “Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense—this is the Day of Decision which you used to deny.” “Gather those who did wrong, their kindred, and whatever they used to worship besides Allah; lead them to the path of Hellfire, and halt them, for they will be questioned: ‘What is the matter with you that you do not help one another?’” No indeed; on that Day they will surrender.
And His words, Glorified be He:
“A questioner asked for a punishment that will certainly descend upon the disbelievers—none can avert it—from Allah, Lord of the stairways. The angels and the Spirit ascend to Him on a Day whose span is…"
