Yet the philosophical doctrine defended by al-Fārābī, Ibn Sīnā, and the likes of them—such as al-Suhrawardī, who was executed for heresy, Abū Bakr ibn al-Ṣāʾigh, and Ibn Rushd the younger—is the Peripatetic school, the disciples of Aristotle, master of logic. This is the very school al-Ghazālī mentions in his book
