The heretics took issue with His words:
“Enter, O people of Pharaoh, the severest torment.”
As for His statement—“Enter, O people of Pharaoh, the severest torment” (40:46)—and His words in another verse, “For I shall punish him with a punishment I do not inflict on anyone else in all the worlds” (5:115), and yet another verse, “Indeed, the hypocrites will surely be in the lowest depths of the Fire” (4:145), they raised their objections.
شك الزنادقة في قوله:
{أَدْخِلُوا آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ أَشَدَّ الْعَذَابِ}
...
وأما قوله:
{أَدْخِلُوا آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ أَشَدَّ الْعَذَابِ}
[غافر: ٤٦]

وقال في آية أخرى:
{فَإِنِّي أُعَذِّبُهُ عَذَابًا لا أُعَذِّبُهُ أَحَدًا مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ}
[المائدة: ١١٥]
وقال في آية أخرى:
{إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ فِي الدَّرْكِ الأَسْفَلِ مِنَ النَّارِ}
[النساء: ١٤٥]
