The heretics also raised doubts about His words:

—On the Day when Allah gathers the messengers and says, “What answer were you given?” they will reply, “We have no knowledge.”—

As for this statement—“On the Day when Allah gathers the messengers and says, ‘What answer were you given?’ they will reply, ‘We have no knowledge.’” (5:109)—and His words in another verse, —And the witnesses will say, “These are the ones who lied against their Lord.”— (11:18), they objected, saying, “How can this be, if they are going to say, ‘We have no knowledge’?”
