The heretics raised objections to His words:
“On the Day We gather them all together, then We shall say to those who associated (partners with Us)….”
They did the same with His other statement:
“On the Day We gather them all together, then We shall say to those who associated (partners), ‘Where are those partners of yours that you used to claim?’”
—up to His words—
“By Allah, our Lord, we were never polytheists” (Q 6:22–23).
شك الزنادقة في قوله:
{وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا}
...
وأما قوله:
{وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا أَيْنَ شُرَكَاؤُكُمُ الَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ}
إلى قوله:
{وَاللَّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِينَ}
[الأنعام: ٢٢، ٢٣]
