The heretics also took issue with His statement:
“He created you from dust …”
Concerning the Almighty’s words:
“He created you from dust” (Fāṭir 35:11),
then He said,
“from sticky clay” (al-Ṣāffāt 37:11),
then He said,
“from an extract” (al-Muʾminūn 23:12),
then He said,
“from dark, smooth mud” (al-Ḥijr 15:26),
then He said,
“from dried clay like pottery” (al-Raḥmān 55:14).
شك الزنادقة في قوله:
{خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ تُرَابٍ}
...
وأما قوله عز وجل:
{خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ تُرَابٍ}
[فاطر: ١١]

ثم قال:
{مِنْ طِينٍ لازِبٍ}
[الصافات: ١١]
.
ثم قال:
{مِنْ سُلالَةٍ}
[المؤمنون: ١٢]
.
ثم قال:
{مِنْ حَمَإٍ مَسْنُونٍ}
[الحجر: ٢٦]
.
ثم قال:
{مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ}
[الرحمن: ١٤]
