the rest of the created things?”
They answered, “Yes.”
We retorted, “Then it is as though He produced creation by means of something created! In so doing you have set yourselves against the Quran and contradicted it, for Allah—majestic is His praise—says:
“He is the Creator of all things” (al-Anʿām 102),
clearly informing us that He alone creates. And He also says:
“Is there any creator other than Allah?” (Fāṭir 3).
No one brings anything into existence except Him, yet you claim that something other than Him created the creation. Exalted is Allah, high above what the Jahmiyyah assert.
الأشياء المخلوقة؟
قالوا:
نعم.
فقلنا:
كأنه خلق خلقًا بخلق،
وعارضتم القرآن وخالفتموه حين قال الله جل ثناؤه:
{خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ}
[الأنعام: ١٠٢]

فأخبرنا الله أنه يخلق،
وقال:
{هَلْ مِنْ خَالِقٍ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ}
[فاطر: ٣]
.
فإنه ليس أحد يخلق غيره، وزعمتم أنه خلق الخلق غيره، فتعالى الله عما قالت الجهمية علوًّا كبيرًا.
