A clarification of the point the Jahmiyyah denied concerning Allah’s having spoken to Moses.
So we asked, “Why do you reject that?”
They replied, “Allah has never spoken, nor does He speak.1 He merely brought a created thing into existence that spoke on His behalf,”

بيان ما أنكرت الجهمية من أن يكون الله كلم موسى
فقلنا:
لِمَ أنكرتم ذلك؟
قالوا:
إن الله لم يتكلم ولا يتكلم١. إنما كوَّن شيئًا فعبر عن الله،
