[Introduction]
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Publisher’s Statement
Praise belongs to Allah, who says:
“And who is better in speech than one who calls people to Allah, acts righteously, and says, ‘Indeed, I am of the Muslims.’” (Fussilat 41:33)
He, Exalted is He, also says:
“Say, ‘This is my path; I invite to Allah with clear insight—I and whoever follows me.’” (Yusuf 12:108)
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When a human being dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” (Muslim 1613)
He also said, “Whoever guides others to good is like the one who performs it.” (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Jāmiʿ 3399)
Ibn al-Qayyim—may Allah have mercy on him—said in Jalāʾ al-Afhām, ⦗249⦘:
“Calling people to Allah is the mission of the Messengers and their followers; they are the Messengers’ successors among their nations, and the rest of humanity is subordinate to them. Allah, Glorified be He, commanded His Messenger to convey what was revealed to him and guaranteed that He would preserve it and protect him from the people. Likewise, those in his community who convey his message are granted protection from Allah in proportion to how fully they uphold His religion and transmit it. The Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—commanded that his teachings be conveyed even if it be a single verse, and he prayed for anyone who would transmit even one of his sayings. Conveying his Sunnah to the Ummah is better than sending arrows into the enemy’s ranks, because many can shoot arrows, while only the heirs of the Prophets and their deputies among the nations take on the task of conveying the Sunnah. May Allah, by His grace and generosity, make us among them.”
Accordingly, Dār al-Thabāt for Publishing and Distribution has undertaken the mission of publishing works that establish the proof, illuminate the path, and remove any excuse:
“…as an excuse before your Lord and so that they may…”
