the blind man’s tawassul was actually through the Prophet’s ﷺ rank before Allah and through his being the best of all creation. Yet this is nothing more than an unsupported assertion for which no evidence exists, and the Doctor has been unable to produce anything that even resembles proof. Earlier in this treatise we demonstrated that the blind man’s tawassul was, in fact, through the Prophet’s supplication ﷺ.

We have dismantled—so far as we know—every argument that the opponents put forward to defend their mistaken view. Likewise, on pages ⦗81–82⦘ we showed the weakness of the additional wording the Doctor cited—though he kept silent about it, whether out of ignorance or deliberate neglect—namely the phrase, “If you have a need, then do the like of this.” In order not to prolong the discussion, we shall not repeat it here.

From all that has preceded, every fair-minded seeker of truth can see the futility and collapse of this Būṭī-spawned objection. Allah the Exalted has spoken the truth: “Rather, We hurl the truth against falsehood, and it crushes it, so it vanishes. And woe to you for what you ascribe.” And He says: “They do not bring you any argument but that We bring you the truth and the best explanation.”

All praise belongs to Allah, first and last, for His enabling grace and guidance. He alone is the One whose help we seek; there is no deity but Him, no Lord besides Him.
