Once this is understood, we turn their own words back against them and say: if it is not permissible to practice tawassul through a righteous deed performed by someone other than the supplicant, then it is a fortiori—and even more emphatically—forbidden to seek tawassul by that person’s very essence. This is manifest and needs no further explanation, and all praise belongs to Allah.
