verse the delusive notions of those ignorant people who worshipped the jinn and went on worshipping them, even though the jinn are created servants of Allah—weak, just like their worshippers, with no power to bring benefit or ward off harm even from themselves. Allah censures them for not directing their worship to Him alone, for He alone controls harm and benefit; in His hand alone lie the destinies of all things, and He is the One who exercises full dominion over everything.
