“…On the night I was taken up, I did not pass by any gathering without their saying, ‘O Muhammad, instruct your community to practice cupping.’”
Ibn Mājah transmitted it under 3479, saying: “Jabbārah ibn al-Mugallis narrated to us; Kathīr narrated to us,” with this wording.
I say: The chain is weak due to the weakness of Jabbārah and Kathīr, yet it has supporting reports from Ibn ʿAbbās and Ibn Masʿūd that strengthen it, so wait for them¹.
Twelfth: Sulaymān ibn al-Mughīrah related from Anas that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The angel ascended with me, and we came to the Lote-Tree. I recognized it as a Lote-Tree—I knew its leaves and its fruit. Then, when it was covered with what Allah decreed to cover it, it was so transformed that no one could describe it.”
Ibn Jarīr recorded this at 27/54 with a sound isnād according to al-Bukhārī’s criteria.
