All praise is due to Allah. We praise Him, seek His help and His forgiveness, and we seek refuge in Allah from the evils within ourselves and from the misdeeds of our actions. Whomever Allah guides, none can mislead; and whomever He leaves to stray, none can guide. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, alone without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.

To proceed: This is a new work—never before published—drawn from the rare treasures left to us by the hadith master, the eminent scholar Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani, may Allah have mercy on him, from among the riches of the Sunnah. It is entitled, “The Authenticity of the Night Journey and Ascension: A Study of Their Hadiths with Documentation, Distinguishing the Sound from the Weak, and Presenting the Verified Narrations in a Single Flow, in a Unique and Exquisite Style the like of which you will not find in any book.”1 Today we present it to the Islamic world so that its knowledge may be spread

He meant to compile all the authentic hadiths in a single, unique, and elegant sequence, but he—may Allah have mercy on him—passed away before he could do so.
