The Emergence of Polytheism in Worship:
Once a Muslim has come to know the truth, he must also recognize the falsehood that contradicts it, so that he can avoid it. As the maxim states:
I learned about evil—not for evil’s own sake, but in order to guard against it.
(1) Surah Saba, verse 22.
(2) Surah al-Hajj, verse 31.

مطلوب من المسلم بعدما يعرف الحق أن يعرف ما يضاده من الباطل ليجتنبه؛ كما يقال:
عرفت الشر لا للش ر لكن لتوقيه
