The Reckoning is Allah Most High’s act of showing His creatures the precise recompense due for their deeds and reminding them of what they had forgotten. The Exalted says: “On the Day when Allah resurrects them all together, He will inform them of what they did; Allah has kept count of it, while they themselves have forgotten it.” 3 And He says: “They will say, ‘Woe to us! What a book is this that leaves nothing, small or great, without recording it!’ They will find whatever they did present before them, and your Lord does not wrong anyone.” 4 And He says: “Whoever does the weight of an atom of good shall see it, and whoever does the weight of an atom of evil shall see it.” 5

Part of the Reckoning is the settling of claims between people, so that restitution is made to the oppressed from the oppressor;
