The manner in which the two angels question the deceased, as transmitted in the hadiths:
In the narration of al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet ﷺ said: “Then his soul is returned…"
1. Surah al-Anbiya, verse 107.
2. Surah al-Anam, verse 38.
