The Descent of Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him):

The descent of the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him), is affirmed in the Qur’an. The truthful and trustworthy one who speaks not from desire—our Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him)—has likewise informed us of it. The reports from him are mass-transmitted, the scholars of the ummah, early and late, are unanimously agreed upon it, and they have deemed it one of the doctrines that every Muslim is obliged to believe.

Al-Saffārīnī said: “His descent (peace be upon him) is proven by the Book, the Sunnah, and the consensus of the ummah.

As for the Book, the Exalted says: ‘There is none of the People of the Scripture but will surely believe in him before…’”
