A concise overview of the Prophet Muhammad’s distinctive merits
The Prophet Muhammad—may peace and blessings be upon him—has exclusive qualities that set him apart from all other prophets, and still others that distinguish him from his own community:
- He is the Seal of the Prophets. Allah, the Exalted, says: “Muhammad is not the father of any of your men; rather, he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets” ⦗3⦘. The Prophet himself declared, “I am the Seal of the Prophets; there will be no prophet after me.”
1 Surah al-Saff, verse 6.
2 Surah al-Baqarah, verse 146.
3 Surah al-Ahzab, verse 40.
