Al-Tabarani likewise transmits it (3/21/2) through two sound chains, with the additional wording found in his other recension. He also includes it in Al-Awsat—as listed in the concordance with Al-Saghir, 2/166—through the route of al-Husayn b. Waqid, from ‘Ata b. al-Sa’ib, from Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami, from ‘Abd Allah b. Mas‘ud, that the Prophet said: “When the woman is brought in to her husband, the man should stand, and she should stand behind him; the two of them then pray two rak‘ahs, after which he says: ‘O Allah, bless me in my family and bless my family in me. O Allah, provide for them through me and provide for me through them. O Allah, unite us for as long as You unite us in goodness, and separate us, if You separate us, in goodness.’” Al-Tabarani comments: “No one narrated it from ‘Ata except al-Husayn.” I say: that is, as a marfu‘ (Prophetic) report. ‘Ata b. al-Sa’ib experienced confusion in his later years, and he also transmitted it—
