- The Obligation of the Walīmah (Wedding Feast)
The groom must host a walīmah after consummation, for the Prophet ﷺ instructed ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf to do so—as will be mentioned shortly—and because of the report of Buraydah ibn al-Ḥuṣayb who said:
When ʿAlī sought the hand of Fāṭimah (may Allah be pleased with her), the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared, “Every wedding must have a walīmah,” and in another wording, “Every bride must have a walīmah.” 2

٢٤- وجوب الوليمة:
ولا بد له من عمل وليمة بعد الدخول لأمر النبي ﷺ عبد الرحمن بن عوف بها كما يأتي ولحديث بريدة ابن الحصيب قال:
لما خطب علي فاطمة ﵁ قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:
"إنه لا بد للعرس وفي رواية للعروس من وليمة" ٢.
