Third: It is related by Abū al-Malīḥ:
Some women from Syria visited ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her). She asked, “Where are you from?” They said, “From Syria.” She replied, “Perhaps you belong to the district whose women frequent the bathhouse?” They answered, “Yes.” She then said, “Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
‘No woman removes her garments in a place other than her own house without tearing down the veil between herself and Allah, Exalted is He.’ 1”

Al-Baghawi and al-Tirmidhi judged it hasan, while al-Hakim declared it “sound according to the criteria of the two shaykhs (al-Bukhari and Muslim),” a verdict with which al-Dhahabi agreed. The wording cited here is that of Abu Dawud, 2/170.
These narrations rebut the claim—advanced, for example, by Ibn al-Qayyim in Zad, 1/62—that “no authentic hadith exists on bathhouses.” The mistake arose only because some scholars relied on a few isnads and did not survey the others.
الثالث: عن أبي المليح قال:
دخل نسوة من أهل الشام على عائشة ﵂ فقالت: ممن أنتن؟ قلن: من أهل الشام قالت: لعلكن من الكورة التي تدخل نساؤها الحمام؟ قلن: نعم قالت: أما إني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول:
"ما من امرأة تخلع ثيابها في غير بيتها إلا هتكت ما بينها وبين الله تعالى" ١.
