- A full ritual bath is preferable:
Nevertheless, ghusl (a complete ritual bath) is superior to simple ablution, based on the report of Abū Rāfiʿ. He relates that the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—once visited all of his wives in a single day, performing ghusl after being with each of them.
