Sixth: Aisha also narrated:
"The Prophet ﷺ returned from the expedition to Tabuk—or perhaps Khaybar—and in my alcove there was a curtain. A breeze lifted part of the curtain, exposing some dolls that belonged to me. He asked, ‘What are these, Aisha?’ I replied, ‘My daughters.’ Among them he spotted a horse with two wings made of cloth and said, ‘What is this I see among them?’ I answered, ‘A horse.’ He asked, ‘And what are these on it?’ I said, ‘Two wings.’ He exclaimed, ‘A horse with two wings!’ I replied, ‘Have you not heard that Solomon had steeds with wings?’ She said, ‘He laughed until I could see his molars.’" 1.
each addition back to the collection in which it occurs, so there was no need to repeat them all here. The sole exception is the final supplementary phrase, which I have supplied below: it is found in Ahmad’s Musnad and likewise in the Musnad of al-Humaydi, no. 254 of the Indian edition, through two isnads from her, but without the wording about “the people dispersing” or “shifting from one foot to the other.” Nor does it contain the extra phrase, “so that I may see what my standing is with him”; that wording appears in Ibn ‘Adi’s al-Kamil, fol. 121/1, with a hasan chain.
The hadith also has supporting evidence in a mursal report of al-Sha‘bi, recorded by Abu ‘Ubayd in Gharib al-Hadith, by al-Harith ibn Abi Usama in his Musnad, p. 212 (in the supplementary section), and by al-Khara‘iti in I‘tial al-Qulub, as cited in al-Jami‘ al-Saghir.

السادس: عنها أيضا قالت:
"قدم رسول الله ﷺ من غزوة تبوك أو خيبر وفي سهوتها ستر فهبت ريح فكشفت ناحية الستر عن بنات لعائشة لعب فقال: "ما هذا عائشة؟ " قالت: بناتي ورأى بينهن فرسا له جناحان من رقاع فقال: "ما هذا الذي أرى وسطهن؟ " قالت: فرس قال: "وما هذا الذي عليه؟ " قالت: جناحان قال: "فرس له جناحان؟ " قالت: "أما سمعت أن لسليمان خيلا لها أجنحة؟ " قالت: فضحك حتى رأيت نواجذه"١.
واحدة منها إلى مخرجها فأغنى ذلك عن الإعادة إلا الزيادة الأخيرة فقد استدركتها هنا وهي في المسند لأحمد وللحميدي أيضا ٢٥٤ – طبع الهند من طريقين عنها وغير زيادة تفرق الناس والمراوحة بين القدمين وغير زيادة: "لأنظر منزلتي عنده" فهي في الكامل لابن عدي ق ١٢١/١ بسند حسن.
وله شاهد من مرسل الشعبي أخرجه أبو عبيد في غريب الحديث والحارث بن أبي أسامة في مسنده ٢١٢ – من زوائده وكذا الخرائطي في اعتلال القلوب كما في الجامع الصغير.
