Adab al-Zifaf fi al-Sunnah al-MutahharahNasir al-Din al-Albani
  1. Refraining from violating the Sacred Law:

He must abstain from every act that runs counter to the sharia, particularly the practices that people have grown accustomed to on such occasions. Because the scholars have kept silent, many now assume these customs are permissible. I therefore wish to highlight some important matters, including:

It is also found in al-Tabarani’s al-Awsat, 1/167/2 of his Zawaid collection, in al-Mukhlis’s al-Muntaqa min Hadithihi, and in al-Diya al-Maqdisi’s al-Mukhtara, 1/150, with the chain: Abd Allah ibn al-Aswad – Amir – Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr – his father, as a marfu (prophetic) report.
